Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing plans to focus on his non-profit organization, Athena Centre.

Speaking during a television appearance On Politics Today at Channels, Chidoka revealed that he had formally resigned by submitting a letter to his ward in Anambra State.

“Earlier today, I sent a letter to my ward in Anambra State resigning officially from the PDP. I am leaving the PDP, I am leaving politics for some time, I am focusing on the Athena Centre,” Chidoka stated.

The former minister, who served in the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, explained that his decision to step away from politics is tied to his vision of driving reforms in the country.

Chidoka highlighted his commitment to collaborating with like-minded Nigerians to push for political reform and evidence-based governance, signaling a shift from partisan politics to broader societal impact.
