Senate President Godswill Akpabio has announced that the lifespan of the 2024 budget will now extend until June 25, 2025.
Akpabio made this disclosure in his opening remarks during the presentation of the 2025 Appropriation Bill by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday.
Highlighting the performance of the 2024 budget, Akpabio revealed that Capital Expenditure achieved 50% execution, while Recurrent Expenditure stood at 48%.
President Tinubu appeared before the lawmakers to present the 2025 Appropriation Bill, totaling N47.9 trillion, for deliberation and approval.
