Rabiu Kwankwaso, National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has launched a scathing attack on Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) 2023 presidential candidate.

Kwankwaso accused Atiku of lying to Northern clerics and political leaders about reaching an agreement on the presidency.

In an interview with the Hausa Service of Radio France International, Kwankwaso expressed his deep anger over the information.

Elderly people aged 70 to 80 years will sit and lie, telling clerics and other leaders something that never happened,” he said.

Kwankwaso emphasized that he is still alive and healthy, and it is impossible for such a meeting to occur without his knowledge.

His statement further highlights his concern about the integrity of leaders.

“This is not good for a personality to lie. In such incident, if a government is formed on the basis of lies, it’s like starting a foundation on a weak structure,” Kwankwaso added.

He further questioned the trustworthiness of leaders who lie, saying, “With these lies, we can’t believe such people that they can only serve one term in office if you entrust them with leadership.
