Gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Blessed Uzochikwa, have brought joy and relief to the Rumudara community in Port Harcourt, Rivers state
Through their charitable organization, the “Mercy Is Blessed Foundation”, the couple distributed food items, cash gifts, and clothing materials to residents in need on December 30, 2024.
The foundation’s donation included essential items such as rice, garri, tomato paste, and yams, which were given to disadvantaged individuals, elderly citizens, and single mothers.
According to Uzochikwa, the initiative aims to empower the community by providing sustainable means of income and demonstrating God’s love.
Uzochikwa stated, “Our goal is to show the love of Jesus Christ to those who are struggling to make ends meet. We believe that giving is an essential part of love, as seen in John 3:16, where God gave His only begotten son to save humanity. We want to provide more than just temporary assistance; we want to help people become self-sufficient and break free from poverty.
