As the 2027 general elections approach, All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Joe Igbokwe has urged aspirants for Nigeria’s presidency to abandon their ambitions.
This comes amid speculation that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in 2023, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) might join forces to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a Facebook post, Igbokwe asserted that Tinubu would serve as Nigeria’s leader until 2031, emphasizing the need for continuity to consolidate on progress.
He said, “If any presidential aspirant is dreaming of winning presidential elections in 2027, I will advise that candidate to perish the thought till 2031.
“PBAT is destined to remain in the seat of power till 2031. He needs eight years to set the records straight.”
