A 25-year-old man, Olajide Fajana, has been sentences to life imprisonment after he was found guilty for molesting a 17-year-old girl in Ekiti State.
The prosecution counsel, Mr Adetola Johnson, told the court that the convict was arraigned on a charge of rape.
Johnson said the convict committed the offence on July 14, 2023 at Ikere-Ekiti.
He said the offence contravened Section 31(2) of the Child’s Rights Law, Cap. C17, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
The prosecution counsel called three witnesses and tendered statements as exhibits to prove his case, while the convict did not call any witness.
In her testimony before the court, the victim said the convict had hypnotised her and asked her to follow him home.
