Dora Chichah, wife of suspended Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Daniel Oghenerukevwe, has shared the remarkable story of how faith and prayer led her to her husband.

Rev. Oghenerukevwe, a priest from the Catholic Diocese of Warri, Delta State, faced suspension after marrying in Dallas, Texas, without completing the formal process of being released from his priestly vows.

According to the Diocese, although he formally requested release from Holy Orders on November 30, 2024, he proceeded with the marriage without submitting the necessary documentation. The wedding photos quickly gained traction online.

During a live testimony session at Pastor Jerry Eze’s Streams of Joy International Church in Dallas, Texas, Dora recounted her journey of faith and how prophetic declarations guided her to her life partner.

The single mother of three revealed that she had prayed for over nine years for a husband and joined Pastor Jerry Eze’s church in 2020.

She recalled a remarkable day in July 2021 when Pastor Eze prophesied over her life.

“In July 2021, Pastor Jerry said the Lord has heard you; he said the Lord allowed all that has happened happen to take you to your wealthy place. He is your salvation. In your waiting time, He will build your character,” she said.

Dora explained that Eze’s messages gave her hope, particularly his words to women praying for marriage.

By 2024, she felt divinely led to relocate to Dallas, Texas, where she reconnected with Daniel, a man she had known from her hometown.

“He told me stories about how he has been praying for four years for discernment in his vocation. And in my own case, I had been praying too. He said he had been fasting for three months, asking God to give him the woman for him,” Dora recounted.

Within three months of their reconnection, the couple underwent marriage counseling, followed by a traditional wedding, court marriage, and a white wedding at Streams of Joy Church.
