Former President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that his health has significantly improved since stepping down from office on May 29, 2023.
Reflecting on his time as Nigeria’s President, Buhari acknowledged that he looks and feels better now compared to his tenure, during which he faced persistent health challenges that required medical trips abroad.
Buhari, who handed over to President Bola Tinubu after serving two terms, attributed the strain on his health to the demanding nature of leading the country.
Speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting at the Katsina State Government House, he hinted that the pressures of the presidency took a toll on his well-being.
“Those outside the corridors of power do not understand the complexities and difficulties facing Nigeria.
“My health has improved since leaving office. People who visited me told me I look better than before.”
