The Jigawa State Government has allocated N4.8 billion for its 2025 Ramadan Feeding Programme to support vulnerable residents during the holy month.

Commissioner for Information, Mr. Sagir Musa, announced this during a press briefing on Monday night after the State Executive Council meeting at the Government House, Dutse.

Musa disclosed that the initiative will be funded collaboratively, with the state government contributing 55% of the total amount, while local governments will cover the remaining 45%.

He further noted an increase in feeding centres, from 609 last year to 630 this year, each serving three meals per person daily.

“The council has approved a full package of three meals per individual, including kunu, kosai, and jollof rice, with provisions for 300 beneficiaries per centre,” Musa explained.
