Tensions flared at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting as former Youth Leader Sunday Ude-Okoye, who has been presenting himself as the party’s National Secretary, was attacked and forcefully removed by supporters of embattled National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu.
The incident, which occurred at the PDP National Headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, led to a breakdown of law and order.
Witnesses saw Ude-Okoye shouting and instructing men dressed in black to enter the meeting before the altercation escalated.
Security personnel, including officers from the Nigerian Police and the Department of State Security Services, are currently working to restore calm.
