Popular Igbo gospel singer Paul Nwokocha’s marriage to his second wife, Mrs. Goodness Nwokocha, has officially ended.
A family source confirmed that Goodness dissolved the union by returning the bride price to Paul Nwokocha’s family.
The couple wedded in September 2023 after Paul’s separation from his first wife, Alice Nwokocha, whom he accused of maltreatment.
However, by May 2024, cracks had appeared in his new marriage, with reports alleging that Goodness faced mistreatment in her marital home.
Insiders disclosed that she was treated more like a housemaid than a wife, fueling tensions that ultimately led to the breakup.
It was also revealed that Goodness had no prior relationship with the singer before their wedding.
She relocated from Lagos to marry him at the insistence of his uncles, without any background checks.
With the return of the bride price, the marriage has now been officially dissolved, marking the end of yet another troubled chapter in Paul Nwokocha’s marital journey.
