Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Bode George has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of crossing the red line by revoking the party’s national secretariat land in Abuja.

Speaking in an interview on Arise Television on Friday, George described Wike’s action as an open act of hostility against the PDP and questioned why he still remains in the party.

“I’m saying he has crossed the red line. Once you cross the red line, what are you looking for? So what is he still doing there then?” George said.

Expressing disbelief at the revocation, he likened it to taking over one’s “father’s house” and cast doubt on Wike’s loyalty to the PDP.

He called for an urgent meeting of party leaders to address the issue.

“The party has to meet. We have to meet the leaders and the members of the board of trustees. We own the party in trust for the members of the party,” he said.

Describing the move as a direct attack on the PDP, George warned that party leaders would be failing in their duty if they did not take decisive action.

He also criticised the PDP’s National Disciplinary Committee, led by Chief Tom Ikimi, accusing it of being biased in favor of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

He questioned the committee’s structure and explained why he refused to serve on it.

The controversy erupted after the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) revoked the PDP’s national secretariat land due to unpaid ground rents spanning 20 years.

In a letter dated March 13, 2025, and signed by the Director of Land Administration, Chijioke Nwankwoeze, the FCTA stated that the PDP had failed to settle the required annual payments from January 1, 2006, to January 1, 2025, despite multiple notifications through national dailies and electronic media.

George, however, insisted that the revocation was a calculated attempt by Wike to undermine the PDP and called for immediate action to counter what he sees as a political attack on the party.
