The Edo State Governorship Election Tribunal has affirmed Monday Okpebholo as the duly elected governor of the state.
Delivering judgment on Wednesday, the three-member tribunal, led by Justice Wilfred Kpochi, ruled that the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asue Ighodalo, lacked merit.
The panel held that the petitioners failed to substantiate their claims against Okpebholo and the respondents, stating that “no competent witnesses were called” to support their allegations.
