Sonia Adesua, the ex-wife of Nigerian professional footballer Odion Ighalo, has expressed her condolences following the death of her former sister-in-law, Omoye Ighalo. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sonia reflected on her late sister-in-law’s words during her pregnancy, sharing a poignant memory from their past.

Sonia recounted an unsettling comment made by Omoye during her pregnancy, where she had questioned Sonia’s intentions regarding childbirth, suggesting that she was having a child for material gain.

“My late wicked ex-husband’s sister-in-law said this to me: ‘Sonia, I’ll see how you’ll bring that child into the world. Are you giving birth for my brother’s property? We shall see,'”

Sonia recalled.

In her post, Sonia also described the harrowing experience of nearly losing her life during childbirth, expressing gratitude to her family and close friends for their unwavering support during that difficult time.

Sonia concluded her message by offering a prayer for Omoye’s soul, saying, “May God have mercy on you and accept your soul, Omoye Ighalo.” The emotional tribute has sparked sympathy among her followers, with many expressing their support for Sonia during this difficult period.
