- The trial of 10 people accused of robbing reality star Kim Kardashian in Paris in 2016 enters its second day
- Kardashian was tied up and held at gunpoint in a luxury apartment where she was staying for Paris Fashion Week
- Five men dubbed the “grandpa robbers” took around $10m (£7.5m) worth of jewellery, leaving the star bound and gagged
- Six others are accused of being accessories to the crime – one has since passed away
- It’s expected Kardashian will give evidence at a later date in the trial
All her jewellery, worth about $10m (£7.5m), including the engagement ring her then-husband and rapper Kanye West gifted her had been taken.
One man bound her with zip ties and duct tape, and left her in the bathroom, before they all fled.
Five of those on trial are accused of taking part in the heist, and the rest are alleged accessories to the crime. Another one of the alleged accomplices has since passed away.
Most of them were born in the 1950s, leading French media to dub them the “grandpa robbers”.
