Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, at the weekend, met with Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, known by his stage name, 2Face at the New Banquet Hall, Government House, Makurdi.
The governor, who confirmed this in a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday night, said the artiste and his new wife were in the state for the “Induction Dinner and Official Unveiling of a New Phase of Leadership, Creativity, and Community Impact”.
He described the event as a “convergence of talent, passion, and purpose.
The governor said that the event witnessed the “official presentation of the 1 Voice Benue Manifesto, a call to action for unity, innovation, and social impact”.
According to him, what made the event more remarkable was the “powerful gathering of Benue’s finest in showbiz, a vibrant display of the creative energy that flows through our people.
From music to film to comedy, fashion to performance, Benue’s creative industry showed that it is ready to lead and inspire.
“I am proud to stand with our youth, our creatives, and all those committed to a better Benue. This is only the beginning”.
