A storm of crisis is brewing in Akwa Ibom’s first family as Jane Edidiong Ufot, daughter of Governor Umo Eno, has gone public with explosive allegations against her father, accusing him of sacrificing her late mother and threatening her and her daughter’s lives.

In a surprising and emotionally charged outburst on social media, Ufot publicly accused her father of sacrificing her late mother, Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno, who passed away in September 2024 after a brief undisclosed illness.

Ufot, who currently serves as the governor’s Senior Special Adviser on Health, Safety, and Environment, claimed that her own life—and that of her young daughter—is now under threat, just like her mother’s.

“I’m not a sacrifice, mummy was, but I’m not,” she declared in the video, visibly shaken and emotional.

In the video, Ufot handed the phone to her daughter, who was on a video call with Governor Eno, and urged her to ask him a chilling question.

“So, Grandpa, do you want them to kill us?” the little girl asked

“Do you want them to die like my baby brother died?” she added, repeating her mother’s instructions.

No response was heard from the governor during the exchange, and it remains unclear who the young girl referred to as “them” in her question.

Mrs. Ufot further alleged that her life may be in danger due to “undisclosed revelations” she hinted could soon come to light.

“If I die today or my daughter dies. If we die because God is exposing the truth, so be it. But my blood will not go scot-free,” she cried out.
