Crystal Palace midfielder and England international Eberechi Eze has officially tied the knot in a vibrant traditional ceremony that paid homage to his Nigerian Igbo roots.

On May 30, 2025, Eze and his longtime partner, Izuthe Mulatto, celebrated their union with an Igbo-themed wedding held in London. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Igbo people, with Eze donning the distinctive Isiagu top, while community elders wore customary white attire and red caps, symbolizing the depth of Igbo tradition.

Born to parents from Mbaise in Imo State, Nigeria, Eze has always maintained a strong connection to his ancestry despite his international football career with England. The couple’s celebration was a vivid reflection of that bond.

Eze and Izuthe’s relationship dates back to their teenage years, and they had earlier formalized their marriage legally in a private ceremony on May 27, 2022. Known for their preference for privacy, Izuthe has even taken steps to shield their personal life from the public eye, including deleting her Instagram account. Meanwhile, Eze occasionally offers fans a rare glimpse into their life together through social media.

The traditional wedding served as a heartfelt tribute to both their love story and Eze’s cultural background, blending personal joy with meaningful cultural expression in a memorable event.
