A Nigerian immigration officer has been handsomely rewarded with ₦1 million for his exceptional integrity after refusing a ₦10 million bribe from a suspected ritualist attempting to flee the country.
The commendation came from HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, General Overseer of the Omega Power Ministry (OPM), who took to his verified X account (@daddyopm) to share details of the incident and a screenshot of the ₦1 million transfer.
The officer had reportedly arrested a native doctor identified as Ezeani, who had been declared wanted in Enugu over allegations of using humans—particularly pregnant women and virgins—for ritual purposes. The suspect’s house was earlier set ablaze by enraged community youths following the disturbing revelations.
According to reports, Ezeani attempted to escape Nigeria and allegedly offered the immigration officer a ₦10 million bribe in exchange for safe passage. The officer refused, exposed the suspect’s identity, and turned him over to law enforcement authorities.
Moved by the officer’s rare display of honesty, Apostle Chibuzor praised him publicly and transferred ₦1 million to his account on May 30 as a show of appreciation.
In a statement accompanying the transfer, the pastor wrote:
₦1 million clean money is better than ₦10 million blood money from innocent pregnant women and virgins. This act of bravery will not go unrewarded.”
He further prayed for divine blessings on the officer’s life, declaring that such actions could reshape Nigeria’s international image and boost investor confidence.
The gesture has sparked widespread praise on social media, with many Nigerians applauding both the officer’s integrity and the pastor’s generosity.
