Legendary Nigerian Afrobeat musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface or 2Baba, has stirred heated conversations online following his controversial remarks about male sexuality and monogamy.
During a recent sit-down with media personality Nedu, the 49-year-old singer argued that while a man may genuinely love one woman, staying sexually faithful is against male biological instincts.
“I will speak for myself, but men are not built to be sexually involved with only one woman. A man can love one woman and give her his heart, but when it comes to sexual satisfaction, it’s difficult. It’s the biology of a man,” he stated.
Tuface suggested that society would experience fewer heartbreaks and emotional turmoil if this reality were openly acknowledged.
“It’s what has gotten so many people in trouble. We need to accept it. So many heartbreaks and unnecessary stress could be avoided if we simply acknowledged this reality,” he added.
His comments have since gone viral, triggering mixed reactions across social media.
While some defended his perspective as an honest take on human nature, others condemned it as a justification for infidelity.
The singer, known for his hit tracks and turbulent personal life, has seven children with three different women — Sumbo Ajaba, Pero Adeniyi, and Annie Macaulay.
In January 2025, he announced his separation and pending divorce from Annie. Since then, he has publicly professed love for Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
