Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has married a fourth wife, Hiqma, in a private ceremony held over the weekend in Abuja.
The quiet wedding, attended only by close friends and family, stayed under the radar with no political fanfare.
The new union was confirmed by Bello’s third wife, Hafiza, who took to Instagram to announce the addition to their family.
“Alhamdulillah, our family just got a little bigger and more loving! A warm welcome to our new family member, Mrs. Hiqma Yahaya Bello! May Allah bless our union and fill our home with love, peace, and Barakah. Amin,” she wrote.
Bello, who was Nigeria’s youngest sitting governor during his tenure from 2016 to 2023 under the All Progressives Congress (APC), is already married to Amina Oyiza Bello, Rashida Bello, and Hafiza Bello.
The marriage comes at a time when Bello is facing a high-profile legal battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which is prosecuting him for an alleged N80.2 billion money laundering case.
Despite the ongoing controversy, the former governor proceeded with the wedding discreetly, staying out of the public eye.
