No fewer than 1,000 prayer warriors from across Nigeria gathered in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Saturday to seek divine intervention for President Bola Tinubu’s success and the nation’s stability amidst prevailing socio-economic challenges.

State chairman of the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), themed Walking in Domini, Evangelist Thomas Adeboye, told newsmen on Thursday that delegates at the maiden convention also offered free medical outreach and health advice to attendees, extending the services to various local government areas in Kwara.

Adeboye expressed concern over the nation’s economic and security crises, urging Nigerians to embark on a prayer journey for both the president and the country.

According to him, President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated his commitment to reviving the nation.

“It takes all our efforts and support, especially divine intervention, to work for us. Nigeria needs prayer over banditry, the ailing economy, and the threatening political situation. We must feature special prayers for President Tinubu and the governors for God’s wisdom and direction,” he said.

He appealed to the president to prioritise policies that reflect compassion.

“We know he and the governors are trying. We implore them to always make sure that whatever policies they intend to formulate must be endured and enjoyed by the populace.”

Adeboye added that the convention’s theme aimed to reaffirm believers’ authority in Christ, foster spiritual growth, promote unity, and encourage bold leadership in addressing modern challenges.
