Queen of Afrobeats, Tiwa Savage, has made a powerful return to the music scene with her brand-new album titled This One Is Personal.
The 15-track project, released on Friday, marks her first full album in five years.
“This project is so close to my heart. I poured every part of me into it. I just pray you receive it with the same love I created it with. Please cherish it, because This One Is Personal,” Tiwa said.
Recorded across Lagos, London, and Nashville, the album tells stories of pain, growth, and resilience, with carefully selected features from Skepta, Taves, and Grammy-nominated James Fauntleroy.
During a fan Q&A, Tiwa explained why she kept collaborations minimal: “It’s less about numbers and more about connection.”
The project was executive-produced by Tiwa herself alongside Vannessa Amadi-Ogbonna and MystroSugar.
Fans around the world are already celebrating her comeback, flooding social media with the hashtag.
