Former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu that he risks returning to Lagos in 2027 after serving only one term in office.
Dalung, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed confidence that an opposition coalition can defeat Tinubu in the next general election, arguing that both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have failed to meet Nigerians’ expectations.
“Tinubu may come to the conclusion that he should be preparing to return to Lagos by May 29, 2027,” Dalung said.
He maintained that Nigerians are weary of worsening insecurity, economic hardship, and poor governance, stressing that this widespread discontent will fuel demand for a new political direction.
“The ADC is not just another minor opposition party. We are building a movement that will shock even the most doubtful Nigerians,” he declared.
Dalung also dismissed Tinubu’s earlier dismissal of the ADC as a haven for “internally displaced politicians,” insisting the party is fast emerging as one of the strongest platforms ahead of 2027.
While he did not reveal specific strategies, the former minister said the ADC is already engaging stakeholders nationwide and will present credible candidates capable of challenging the current political system.
Would you like me to make the headline more combative (e.g., “Prepare for Defeat in 2027 – Dalung Tells Tinubu”) or keep it measured but sharp like the version above?
