A man died during the filming of the latest season of ‘Emily in Paris’ in Venice, the Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported.

Diego Borella, a 47-year-old who served as assistant director of the series, passed away on August 21.

According to the Italian newspaper, around 7:00 p.m. on August 21, doctors were called to the Danieli Hotel to try to save the man. However, they were unable to save Borella.

Borella collapsed in front of his colleagues as they prepared to shoot one of the scenes at the Hotel.

Paramount Television Studios, the series’s production company, confirmed the news and offered its condolences to the family in a statement. “Our hearts go out to the individual’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” the company said in a statement.

La Repubblica reported that the theory currently being considered is a possible cardiac arrest.

Borella was a “prestigious professional” originally from Venice. He trained in Rome, London, and New York, the newspaper reported.

The 47-year-old also worked in the visual arts and literature. His work before the series had been writing poetry, fairy tales, and children’s stories.

On the other hand, filming of the series has been temporarily suspended.

‘Emily in Paris’, starring Lily Collins, was in the process of filming its fifth season in Italy. This is because Emily Cooper, the lead actress, moved to Rome during the fourth season.
