The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet announced that Musbah Salim Musbah Dayyah, the leader of the Mujahideen Brigades in the Gaza Strip, was killed in a targeted operation last week in Nuseirat.
In a joint statement today, Israeli security forces confirmed the elimination of Musbah Salim Musbah Dayyah, who had recently assumed command of the Mujahideen Brigades, the military wing of a Palestinian militant faction operating in Gaza. Dayyah’s appointment followed the deaths of three previous commanders of the organization in recent months.
According to the IDF and Shin Bet, the strike was part of ongoing efforts to weaken militant groups responsible for planning and carrying out attacks both within Israel and the West Bank. Officials stated that Dayyah’s removal marks a significant disruption to the group’s leadership structure and its operational capabilities.
“The elimination of this senior figure further hampers the Mujahideen Brigades’ ability to orchestrate terror attacks from Gaza,” the statement read.
The operation comes amid heightened security tensions in the region, with Israeli forces maintaining pressure on armed groups in Gaza as confrontations continue.
