Devin Haney has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County against Leena Sayed, alleging that she is wrongfully keeping high-value gifts—including Hermès handbags, an Audemars Piguet watch, diamond ring, diamond earrings, and several other luxury items valued at $350,000.
Haney contends that these items were given in anticipation of their wedding, and since the relationship ended before marriage, California law requires their return.
This legal action is the latest in a series of disputes between the former couple. Last month, Haney sued Sayed for defamation and extortion, claiming she attempted to damage his reputation and his visitation rights with their daughter Khrome, born earlier this.
Sayed’s attorney has responded that Haney’s litigation is retaliation for her successful domestic violence restraining order against him, and maintains that her actions concern lawful child support rather than extortion.
The ex-couple is expected to appear in family court for an upcoming hearing, with Haney seeking the return of the gifts plus financial damages exceeding $500,000.
