FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has fired back at critics of President Bola Tinubu, warning Nigerians to count themselves “lucky” to have a leader who shrugs off public insults.
“This is a country where somebody on social media will say Mr President is a criminal; nothing will happen,” Wike blasted at the flag-off of the Arterial Road N1 in Abuja.
“You are lucky you have a President who believes in the rule of law. You are lucky. Continue to be lucky. There are those you will meet that you won’t be lucky again,” he warned.
The outburst came after activist Omoyele Sowore called Tinubu a “criminal” online, a jab Wike suggested would never fly in America.
