Nigerian entrepreneur Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has congratulated Ekuma Jeremiah on earning a law degree from Ebonyi State University.
Jeremiah first gained national attention in 2022 after a video surfaced showing him giving money to inmates being transported in a Nigerian Correctional Service bus in the Ajah area of Lagos. His kind gesture won widespread praise across the country.
Reflecting on the milestone, Obi Cubana shared memories of their initial encounter that same year, when Jeremiah turned down various financial offers and instead committed to furthering his education.
According to the business mogul, Jeremiah could have opted for quick financial relief but made the wiser decision to return to school. He revealed that Jeremiah, who had earlier dropped out, chose to continue his studies despite having easier alternatives.
On January 19, 2022, when the offers were placed before you, you chose education! You made the best choice. Today, you are a 2025 law graduate! You could have chosen to take the money and walk away to temporary comfort and live for the moment, but you were wise to choose education! Today you have both education and the money, and more ahead!
