The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has assured Nigerians that the nation’s capital will witness a level of transformation never seen before by the time President Bola Ahmed Tinubu marks his third year in office.

Wike made the declaration on Tuesday during the commissioning of access roads in Sector Centre B, by Dakibiyu District, Abuja.

According to him, President Tinubu is determined to deliver tangible development that will move Nigeria closer to the “promised land.”

“By next year, Mr President’s third year anniversary, Nigerians will see what they have never seen before,” Wike said. “So, I’m pleading with all Nigerians to continue to be patient, we will get to the promised land, and through Mr President it will be a different narrative, you can see it coming.”

The FCT Minister emphasized the importance of assessing governance performance sector by sector, starting from Abuja, where he believes remarkable progress is already visible.

“Let the director of ceremony said, how you identify is to take it sector by sector, is this doing well? Let’s start from Abuja because everybody has to show his own report card.

“As far as FCT is concerned, will anybody, no matter how you may hate anybody or how you felt to have lost the election, somebody has to win as there is no GG in elections, somebody will win and the other person will lose,” he stated.

Wike also took a swipe at critics who downplay the achievements of the Tinubu administration, insisting that the ongoing transformation across the capital city speaks for itself.

“So even if you hate Mr President can you deceive yourself to the point that you will say nothing is going on in the FCT? Certainly not.

“So from there you will also know what Mr President is doing in other areas, see where we are either to flag off or to commission and that is what the dividends of democracy is all about,” he added.
