Former Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello, has told President Bola Tinubu to forget about campaigning in the state ahead of the 2027 elections, declaring there’s “no opposition” left to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Addressing party faithful at a rally in Kogi on Saturday, Bello boasted that the president already enjoys unshakable loyalty among Kogites.

“Your excellency, Mr president, you don’t even need to come to Kogi state to campaign in 2027. Don’t do any wahala [trouble] that you want to come to Kogi state to campaign for a second term. There is no opposition in Kogi state,” he said.

“Those who are making noise somewhere have not seen the lion. Congratulations Mr president. Every great nation must have a leader that everybody can gravitate towards.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you are that leader that all of us shall gravitate towards even after your second term in office.”
