Operatives of the Yobe State Hisbah Commission have destroyed cartons of seized alcohol in line with the commission’s mandate.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Hisbah Spokesman, Sibawaihi Ukasha Gashua, which indicated that the exercise followed a court order granted by the Lower Shari’ah Court, authorizing the destruction of the seized alcohol intercepted on Wednesday, 8th October 2025.
The items were confiscated from a J5 vehicle that departed from Jos, Plateau State. Both the suspects and the exhibits were taken to court, where judgment was delivered according to Shari’ah law,” he added.
The Hisbah Commission pledged to continue intensifying efforts to eradicate immoral acts and promote a disciplined and moral society.
