Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman has reportedly demanded a total package worth €12m from Turkish champions Galatasaray as the club prepares to revive interest in the Atalanta star during the January transfer window, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

According to Aksam Spor, Galatasaray are ready to reopen talks for the Nigerian winger if Barış Alper Yılmaz leaves the club in January.

The report added that the Super Eagles forward is said to have requested €9m in guaranteed wages along with €3m in performance-related bonuses during initial talks.

“If Barış Alper is sold in the January transfer window, Galatasaray are set to reignite their pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.

The Nigerian international is reportedly demanding a guaranteed salary of €9 million,” Aksam Spor reported.

Galatasaray had previously made an approach for Lookman during the summer transfer window but were forced to suspend negotiations after Atalanta demanded a hefty €60m transfer fee for the 28-year-old.

Galatasaray have been closely monitoring Lookman’s situation at Atalanta. The Turkish champions made an approach for the 28-year-old earlier in the season but suspended negotiations after the Italian club demanded a €60 million transfer fee.

“With Barış Alper potentially leaving mid-season, the Galatasaray board are planning to return to the negotiating table for Lookman,” the report added.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year, who has scored one goal in eight matches for Atalanta this season, remains one of the club’s most influential figures.

His current contract with the Serie A side runs until June 2027, meaning any deal for his signature would require significant investment.

Lookman, who helped Atalanta to a historic Europa League in the 2023/24 season, has been on the Turkish giants’ radar since his breakout campaign in Italy, where his pace, direct play, and eye for goal have made him one of Africa’s most consistent performers in Europe.
