Nigeria’s war on terror is set for a fierce escalation as Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has ordered his commanders to “fly smarter and strike harder” in crushing insurgents, terrorists, and bandits across the country.

At a high-powered meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, Aneke told top Air Force commanders that the days of sluggish response are over, and that air operations must now be sharper, deadlier, and intelligence-driven.

“We must fly smarter and strike harder not only to neutralise threats but also to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians,” he charged.

“Every mission must reflect professionalism, purpose, and patriotism.”

According to him, Nigeria’s security threats are rapidly evolving, demanding a coordinated strike force that fuses air, land, and sea operations for maximum impact.

The new directive signals a major ramp-up in air assaults against criminal enclaves nationwide, as the Air Force vows to turn up the heat on those undermining national security.
