Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been shortlisted for the 2025 Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper Award.

FIFA officially announced the launch of the voting process for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 on Thursday, as fans from all around the world can cast their votes for the best players, coaches, and goalkeepers of the year through the official FIFA app.

Nnadozie will contend with other top goalkeepers for FIFA’s top honour, including Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany), Cata Coll (Spain), Christiane Endler (Chile), Hannah Hampton (England), Anna Moorhouse (England), and Phallon Tullis-Joyce (USA).

The reigning African Goalkeeper of the Year made the shortlist after a remarkable campaign in the 2024/25 season, where she inspired her former club, Paris FC, to the Coupe de France Féminine, their first title in about 20 years.

She was also crucial to Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON triumph in Morocco earlier this year, where she was also named the Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

After joining Brighton Women in England, Nnadozie has kept up her consistent performance at club level, and she was also nominated for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy at the Ballon d’Or, where she finished fourth.

The 24-year-old is in contention for a third CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year at the upcoming CAF Awards ceremony.
