Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has raised a red flag, warning that a ruthless army of Abuja land grabbers is targeting FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and he wants the Federal Government to step in now.
Igbokwe, in an explosive Facebook post, said the syndicate blocking Wike’s reforms is no ragtag group but a deeply rooted network he describes as a “potentially dangerous and formidable cartel” that has spent years carving up Abuja’s prized lands.
He wrote, “Abuja land grabbers are professional thieves. They are vicious, potentially dangerous, a formidable cartel. It has been going on for years.
“The business is big and the professional land grabbers are big also. FCT lands are their own. FG protect Wike!”
The uproar follows the explosive viral video of Wike’s heated showdown with a naval officer who obstructed his access to a disputed parcel of land — a clash that set social media ablaze and triggered nationwide reactions.
