Super Falcons forward Uchenna Kanu has returned to Lagos, Nigeria, after officially parting ways with her National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club, Racing Louisville FC. The experienced attacker is now a free agent after a three-year stint with the U.S. club.

Kanu joined Racing Louisville in February 2023 and became an influential figure in the team’s attack. She played a key role in the club’s rise, which included their first-ever appearance in the NWSL playoffs, a historic milestone.

The Nigerian international, known for her pace and technical ability, contributed significantly during her time with the team, most notably in the 2024 season when she scored five goals in 12 appearances, including a quick brace against the Portland Thorns. Her time in the 2025 season was limited due to a recurring knee injury.

With her contract complete, Kanu enters a new phase of her career, and fans are eagerly anticipating her next destination. Her professional career has already spanned leagues in Spain, Sweden, Mexico, and the USA.
