The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State has unanimously backed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office in 2027.
Party leaders emphasised the need to strengthen unity, rebuild structures, and consolidate gains ahead of the next general election.
The endorsement was announced on Friday at the Oyo APC Stakeholders’ Summit held at the party’s Secretariat, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.
Speaking at the summit, Senator Teslim Folarin, a two-term senator and Oyo State Ambassador for Renewed Hope, declared the party’s commitment to consolidating its 2023 presidential performance.
The party’s primary objective is to consolidate its 2023 presidential performance by securing at least a 35 per cent increase in votes for President Tinubu in 2027,” Senator Folarin said, noting that unity remains the foundation of any meaningful political progress.
“No political strategy, no matter how brilliant, can succeed in an atmosphere of division. Our foremost responsibility is unity. The ‘One APC, One Tinubu Project’ must be our guiding principle,” he added.
The summit drew several dignitaries, including Senators Hosea Agboola Alleluyah, Hamzat Adeseun, and Yinus Akintunde; Shittu Adebayo, Akinola Alabi, Dr Ibrahim Olaifa, Tolulope Akande-Sodipe, Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala; Moshood Erubami; Alhaji Fatal Ibikunle; and chairmen of the 33 local government areas of the state.
