A somber mood has enveloped the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus, following the death of Ayomiposi Ojajuni, a student who reportedly took his own life after being prevented from sitting for the Bar Final examinations.

Ojajuni, a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, was said to have broken down emotionally on Saturday morning, December 6, when he was informed he would not be allowed to join the professional exams scheduled to begin that day.

According to reports by SaharaReporters, the decision to bar him from the examination stemmed from disciplinary measures taken by the institution, including a series of previous queries issued to him.

Moments after receiving the news, the student allegedly consumed a harmful substance in what sources described as an act of despair.

He was urgently transported to the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital in Yola, but despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead on Sunday.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement on the incident, even as the tragedy has sparked conversations about student welfare and disciplinary procedures within the institution.
