It was a straight walk-over for Bola Oyebamiji as the All Progressives Congress (APC) picked the former Chairman of the Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) as its governorship candidate for the Osun State election.

The APC primary turned into a full endorsement session after 1,660 delegates unanimously affirmed Oyebamiji’s candidacy.

His name was formally presented by fellow aspirant Kunle Adegoke, SAN, and seconded by Senator Babajide Omoworare, setting the stage for an uncontested emergence.

Chairman of the primary election committee and Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, thereafter called for a voice vote, and the hall erupted in approval.

“By the power conferred on me as Chairman of the primary committee, I hereby declare Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, as the candidate of our party,” he added.
