Nasarawa United extended their lead at the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League following a 0-0 draw with Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.
The Solid Miners have never beaten Plateau United in Jos. Mbwas Mangut’s side now top the standings with 31 points from 17 games.
Abia Warriors moved up to fourth position after a 1-0 away win against Kun Khalifat FC. Suraju Lawal scored the decisive goal for Imama Amapakabo’s side nine minutes from time.
Shooting Stars recorded the second away win of the day, edging past Barau FC 1-0 at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano. Sadiq Ibrahim’s ninth-minute strike separated the teams.
Defending champions Remo Stars were defeated 2-1 by Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa. Victor Mbaoma opened the scoring after 14 minutes, but Bayelsa United fought back with goals from Fabby Clark and Emo James.
