Abia State 2027 governorship aspirant, Sir Mascot Uzor-Kalu, has extended heartfelt Christmas and New Year greetings to his supporters and the people of Abia State, urging unity, peace, and a renewed collective commitment to shared progress in this yuletide season.
In his goodwill message, the former Abia State Chief of Staff described Christmas as a season of deep reflection, gratitude, and moral renewal, noting that its enduring lessons of love, sacrifice, and humility remain vital for harmony and sustainable development across the state.
“As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I extend my heartfelt Christmas and New Year greetings to my supporters and indeed all Abians.
“Christmas is a season that reminds us of the power of love, unity, and selfless service, values that must continue to guide our interactions as a people,” Kalu said.
Calling on Abians to rise above differences and divisions, the governorship hopeful stressed that unity and mutual understanding are indispensable for meaningful progress. He said a shared sense of purpose and collective responsibility would help the state overcome its challenges and unlock greater opportunities.
“Our strength as a people lies in our unity,” he stated. “When we work together in peace and mutual respect, we create the foundation for progress, stability, and prosperity that will benefit present and future generations.”
Kalu also urged citizens to use the festive season to strengthen family bonds, promote kindness, and reach out to the less privileged, stressing that the true spirit of Christmas is reflected in compassion and service to humanity.
“This season calls us to open our hearts to one another and to be mindful of those who are in need,” he said.
“By sharing love and extending a helping hand, we reinforce the true meaning of Christmas and build stronger, more caring communities.”
Looking ahead to the New Year, he expressed optimism and offered prayers for peace, good health, and economic advancement for Abia State and its people, encouraging both leaders and citizens to remain committed to justice, fairness, and inclusive development.
“As we step into the New Year, I pray for peace, renewed hope, and shared progress for Ndi Abia,” he added. “May the coming year usher in greater opportunities, improved livelihoods, and a stronger sense of unity among our people.”
He concluded by wishing Abians a joyful festive season and a fulfilling year ahead, calling on them to sustain the spirit of love, unity, and cooperation beyond Christmas.
“I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Prosperous New Year,” he said.
