2027 Abia governorship aspirant, Sir Mascot Uzor-Kalu (KSJI), has been named Overall Rapid Personality of the Year 2025 by Rapid Broadcasting Network Ltd, operators of Rapid 96.5 FM and Rapid TV.
The media organisation decorated the former Abia Chief of Staff with the “Distinguished Public Service and Leadership Excellence Award” in recognition of his outstanding record in public service, visionary leadership, and impactful contributions to society.

According to Rapid Broadcasting Network, Kalu’s tenure as Chief of Staff to the Abia State Government stood out for its integrity, strategic discipline, and people-oriented governance, earning him widespread respect as an exemplary public administrator.
The organisation also extoled his leadership as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sharlotte Group, noting that his business vision has generated employment opportunities, driven youth empowerment, and supported poverty-alleviation initiatives across communities.
The letter of notification, signed by Onyebuchi Ogbonna, Marketing Manager of Rapid Broadcasting Network Ltd., stated that the honour reflects Kalu’s sustained commitment to inclusive development, philanthropy, and nation-building.
Comrade Emeka Adile, the Administrative Secretary of the Mascot Uzor-Kalu Campaign Organisation received the award on behalf of the former Abia Chief of Staff.
The award further solidifies Mascot Uzor-Kalu’s lofty profile as a key political figure and respected public personality ahead of the 2027 political season in Abia State.
