Chinua Soludo, son of the Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on Thursday, paid unscheduled visits to some hospitals in three local government areas of the state, where he settled the hospital bills of some patients as part of activities to celebrate Christmas.

During the visits, Soludo called for improved welfare, love and kindness to the less-privileged and the needy across the country as a way of giving them a sense of belonging and assurance that they are part of the society.

The visits, which moved from Adazi-Nnukwu in Anaocha Local Government Area to Nnobi in Idemili South LGA and Ekwulobia in Aguata LGA, created lasting memories of compassion, moving many beneficiaries, as well as Chinua Soludo, to tears.

At the St. Joseph Hospital Adazi-Nnukwu, in Anaocha LGA, Anambra State, Soludo did not only cleared outstanding hospital bills for many, but he also gave transportation fares to the patients to facilitate their smooth return to their homes to join their families to celebrate Christmas.

Soludo stressed that the less-privileged and the needy across the country, especially those in various hospitals, need and expect love, care, compassion and pampering this period.

He said, “Christmas is a period to generate happiness and spread love, especially to the less-privileged people and those in the hospital, who need assistance.

“For me, Christmas means reaching out to the needy, less privileged, motherless and abandoned children. They need our care and special expression of love to partake in the celebrations.
