The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has described President Bola Tinubu as the best politician Nigeria has ever produced, saying he is proud to be learning the art of politics from him.
Yilwatda made the remarks on Saturday during his conferment with the traditional title of ‘Kaeh-rit’ in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State.
A former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction under Tinubu, Yilwatda, was appointed APC National Chairman in July after the party hierarchy, led by Tinubu, removed former Kano State governor Abdullahi Ganduje from the position.
Speaking at the ceremony, Yilwatda said Tinubu had “adopted” him as his political son and was mentoring him in governance and party leadership.
“I’m learning from the best leader, Asiwaju Tinubu. Mr. President is one of the finest politicians you can learn from, and since adopting me as his son, I’ve learned so much from him. He is teaching me, and I am learning. So, if you see me succeeding, it is because I am learning from the very best politician ever produced in Nigeria.
Why not? I will work towards achieving what he has done and becoming one of the best politicians in Nigeria,” Yilwatda stated.
