France head coach, Didier Deschamps, has not included the Super Eagles among his three favourites to emerge champions at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Instead, Deschampions has picked Morocco, Egypt and Cameroon as the ones to watch out for, citing the quality of players they possess in their squads.
In the Round of 16 fixtures, Cameroon will take on South Africa, Egypt play the Republic of Benin, while hosts Morocco face Tanzania.
Speaking with Asharq Sports, Deschamps expressed his respect for all African teams, but singled out three for glory.
“I respect all African teams, and may the best one win. I don’t want to make anyone jealous,” he said.
When pressed on a prediction, Deschamps said: “Egypt, Cameroon, Morocco…”
