Michael Reagan, the eldest son of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan, has died at the age of 80, his family confirmed.

Reagan, a conservative political commentator, author, and radio host, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family, according to a statement released by the Reagan family. Born in 1945 to Ronald Reagan and actress Jane Wyman, Michael was adopted shortly after birth and went on to build a prominent career in media and public speaking.

Throughout his life, he was known for championing his father’s legacy, offering political insights from a conservative perspective, and writing several books, including reflections on his family and faith. His death marks the passing of a key figure who helped shape the public narrative surrounding one of America’s most iconic presidencies.
