Lebanese media outlets are highlighting that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s visit to Beirut appears unusually substantial rather than ceremonial, pointing out that he landed in Lebanon accompanied by his wife, daughter and two sons and is expected to reside with them in diplomatic housing for an unspecified duration.
According to these reports, Araghchi arrived in Beirut with his wife Arezoo Ahmadfand, his daughter Sadat, and his sons Seyed Hossein and Seyed Reza, an entourage more typical of a long-term posting than a short official trip. Local commentators say the family’s planned stay in residences designated for Iranian diplomats suggests the foreign minister intends to remain in Lebanon for some time, fueling speculation about deeper political and regional motives behind the visit.
