BUA’s Abdul Samad Rabiu Pledges Huge Dollar Bonuses to Super Eagles for AFCON Glory
Abdul Samad Rabiu, billionaire founder of BUA Group, has pledged to reward the Super Eagles with 500,000 dollars if they win their AFCON 2025 semi‑final and a further 1 million dollars if they triumph in the final, alongside extra cash for every goal scored in the title match.
Rabiu announced the offer after Nigeria’s 2–0 quarter‑final victory over Algeria, saying the team had lifted the nation’s spirit and deserved strong financial backing as they chase a fourth continental crown. Under the pledge, the players would share 500,000 dollars for securing a place in the final, then receive 1 million dollars if they win the trophy, plus 100,000 dollars for each goal scored in the final itself.
