Former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo has predicted the countries to play in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Senegal, Egypt, Morocco and Nigeria are through to the final of the tournament following the conclusion of the quarterfinal matches on Saturday.

Senegal beat Mali 1-0 while Morocco saw of Cameroon 2-0 in earlier matches played on Friday. And on Saturday, Nigeria booked a place in the semifinals by beating Algeria 2-0 and Egypt sent Ivory Coast back home with a 3-2 victory.

On Wednesday, Nigeria will play the host nation, Morocco while Egypt take on Senegal in the semifinals.

Speaking as a pundit for SuperSport, Ighalo predicted Nigeria to play Senegal in the final, meaning that the Super Eagles would have to beat Morocco, and Senegal beat Egypt.

It’s going to be very, very tough. And I think there’s going to be a lot of cards, because you’re going to see fighting and a lot of cards in that game,” he said, talking about the game between Egypt and Senegal.

There’s going to be fighting, there’s going to be puzzling. There’s going to be argument in that game, because Egyptians are not going to allow Senegal to beat them again, to go to the final. So they want to revenge. But I see Senegal having the upper hand at the end.

“I think Senegal-Nigeria for final.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have won every game they have played at the tournament in Morocco. They have kept clean sheets in the last two against Mozambique and Algeria.
